Text Box: RAM LEISURE WREXHAM YOUTH LEAGUE

Saturday 14th October 2006

There was a huge shock in store for the Under 12 League Section One leaders Mold Juniors who were floored 5-1 in their own back yard by rampant Queens Park who went nap through Callum and Ryan Jones who weighed in with double salvos and Tyrone Hopson. Mold who only had 10 fit players but reduced the deficit through Jack Parry.

Brickfield Rangers shared six goals and the points with Acrefair Youth who hit back through Tom May(2) and Josh Evans. Kamil Bancer(2) and Maciez Janic fired the hosts goals.

Brymbo Lodge let the lead slip three times after Matt Royle and Matt Turner with a long range effort and a penalty carved out an advantage. Opponents Marchwiel United are a sturdy little outfit and hit back through Ryan Reid and man of the match Robert Ward who bagged a hat-trick.

FC Borras Rangers flopped 6-1 at home to Johnstown Youth who were on target through Matt Jones, Bradley Hughes and Dean Williams who all netted two goals apiece. Jordan Billington netted a consolation goal for Rangers.

Park Youth were on target through Joel Darlington but couldn’t contain a ‘well oiled’ Marford and Gresford Albion who picked up a splendid 5-1 success with strikes from Luke Jones(2), Danny Hussey, John Conlow and Sam Rogers.

Section Two leaders Ruthin Town were in blistering form as they slammed poor old Rhos Aelwyd 12-1. Netting the Aelwyd consolation goal was Daniel Harrison but taking Ruthin into double figures were Ciran Jones with six goals, Iwan Davies(2), Harri Owen(2), Osian Davies, Stephen Willsdon and Tirion Roberts.

Bala tamed Borras Park Albion 3-0 in a top of the table clash.

Coedpoeth opened and closed the scoring at Chirk Youth through Elliott John and Tommy Roberts but the hosts secured a 5-2 success in the end with efforts from Ben Wilson and doubles from Jack Kynaston and Matt Knight.

FC Brickfield could not contain in form Borras Park Rangers who won this encounter by a good margin. Leading the rout with five goals was Tom Duckett, Matt Thomas notched four with Lewis Gray, Lewis Harrington, George Ford, Zach Degale, Curtis Neary, Zach Bryan, Zach Forber, Jim Duckett, Theo Pumford were also amongst the scorers.

Garden Village picked up a first class 9-1 victory over Llangollen, man of the match was Luke Davies who bagged four goals with Steve Beilby(2), James Lee, Harry Gould and Ithan Turton completing the spree with Llan replying through Josh Scott.

In the Under 14 league cup, the days big shock was Rhos Aelwyd’s U13’s success at Garden Village. An own goal, Rob Salathiel(2), Taylor Jasper and a superb overhead kick from Dafydd Robertson secured their success.

Bala Juniors proved too much of a handful for Garden Village and they prospered 10-0.

Broncoed Tigers flopped 8-1 at home to Borras Park Albion with Danny Bolland netting a late consolation goal. Amongst the Albion scorers were Michael Peters(2), Sean Price(2), Michael Hencher, Thomas Wells, Tom Meyers and Jordan Hayes.

Despite Mike Pugh converting a hat-trick for Coedpoeth, their cup hopes were dashed in a 4-3 reversal against Park Youth.

Maelor Youth U14’s proved too strong for the younger Marford and Gresford Albion who they edged out of the competition by a comfortable margin. Making up their double figure win a five goal return was Lewis Williams, Tom Cusworth notched three with Mark Mottershead, Ged Griffiths(2) and Matt Morris making the tie safe.

Ian Elrick, Tom Lea(2) and Andy Hughes(2) combined for Marchwiel United to defeat Johnstown 5-2.

Rhosddu United triumphed 3-1 over Chirk Youth and their marksmen were Carl Shone(2) and Tom Hallom.

There was one rearranged Under 13 game and it involved Ruthin Town winning 3-2 against Brickfield with goals from Kristian Pierce and Iolo Hughes who scored a hat-trick. Tom Williams and Matt Smith replied.

Marchwiel United are the new leaders of the Under 15 League Section One after defeating a much improved Llay United. It was goals from Jordan Davies(2), Phil Tinsley and Kris Dickenson that took them top.

Borras Park Albion dropped two points in their clash with Marford and Gresford Albion who came might close to taking all three points from this encounter with strikes from Grant Hughes(2) and skipper Rob Ellingford who notched his first goal for the club in seven years. Liam Williams(2) and Ben Hughes fired the Albion response.
Bala couldn’t quell the steady stream of goals that flowed from Ruthin Town’s Sam Cartwright who was a hat-trick hero, Dan MacLean, Gethin Jones, Chris Jones, Liam Jones and Lee Jones but they did salvage some pride pulling things back to 8-2.

Chirk Youth defeated Rhos Aelwyd by the odd goal in seven. The winners goals came from Harry Jones, Josh Roberts, Lewis Penrose and Jack Callaghan, running Aelwyd close were Mike Rowlands(2) and Nathan Evans.

Coedpoeth were on the wrong end of a heavy defeat when they played Park Youth who were comfortable winners thanks to the silky skills of Alex Mills who was the days top scorers nothing seven goals. Deiniol Williams, Luke Roberts and Tom Goburn bagged two goals apiece with Gareth Johnson completing the spree. Coedpoeth had the satisfaction though of having the games best player in Keiran Arnold who also struck twice for the hosts. Stuart Roberts and Andy Jackson added to their tally.

Luke Bednarek(2) and Gareth Rogers allowed Garden Village to shade things 3-2 against Ruabon Villa.

Rhostyllen were back on the winning trail, they dashed any hopes Rhosddu United had of breaking their duck. Mkomdi Liandish grabbed the headlines notching a treble, Keiran Ansloos struck twice with Drew Wicken, Tibor Bloko and John McGrath completed the scoreline.

Queens Park stunned Ewloe Harriers and a 3-2 victory away from home has put them into pole position in the Under 16 League Section One. Brad Richardson, Levi Roberts and Declan Williams whose late effort was worthy of winning any game. Many might argue Harriers might have deserved a point after Dan Sullivan and Anthony Bradley had their side all square at the break.

It was terrific to hear the news that Ross Morgan is back to his best following his double leg fracture, he closed his sides Marford and Gresford Albion 3-1’s win over Park Youth. Owen Williams and Danny Gray completed the task.

In Section Two, Chirk Youth are the only side with a 100% record and their 4-2 win at Brymbo has them heading the pack. Matthew Cooke fired all four goals for Chirk and replying were Nathan Evans and Gary Dugmore.

FC Borras Park lost 4-1 at home to Llay United whose marksmen were Jamie Heath, livewire Louis Emmett(2) and Tom Kent. The hosts response was a Matt Brimfield OG.

Maelor Youth were caught on the hop and were beaten 5-2 at home by Johnstown who went nap through Aaron Thomas and a Jamie Rogers treble with Maldwyn Tudor Owen and Will Evans hitting back.
