Summary by Phil Jones

The days top action was in the Under 13's TESCO CUP and writing the headlines were Buckley Town, or in particular, Aled Dodd and Ross Diamond who netted 16 goals between them in a 22-0 rout at Garden Village. To be fair, despite the scoreline, the homeside never let their heads drop one little bit.

This was the days feature match with everyone pinning hopes on Buckley making a real impression come May at the national level.

Ross Diamond lived up to his name and was a real “Diamond Geezer” notching nine of his sides goals and Aled Reece fired a seven goal salvo. Between them, the pair have notched over 70 goals in a season which is not yet three months old.

Reece started the ball rolling side footing home from close range after some good work down the right flank. Diamond bagged the second reacting first after good save from the keeper Danny Davies. Reece netted again after good work by Shaun Tinsley who after being provider scored the fourth, with a great shot from the edge of the box. Reece grabbed the fifth goal and the sixth after good work from Jamie Robert's and Tom Dodd. Ben Williams secured the best goal of the opening half and providing Buckley with a nine goal cushion at the break were Diamond and Jamie Roberts after short corner had been played into the box the ball for him to fire into the bottom left corner.

The second half opened with a flurry of goals with Reece and Diamond causing real havoc and netting another three goals apiece. Dan Roberts then popped up with a good strike from the edge of the box, Jamie Robert's then scored with a shot which beat the keeper at the near post. The best goal of the match came from Tom Dodd who scored with a rasping shot from distance and then to seal the win Ross Diamond netted a further three more goals all similar one and one with the goal keeper.
