Tyrone Hopson and Kirk Roberts bagged a goal apiece as Queens Park accounted for Brymbo Lodge 2-1.

Rhosddu United are safely through to the last eight, they demolished Acrefair Youth 4-1 who hit back through Jack Arthur. The winners goals flowed from Daniel Jones, Zac Butler, Jake Williams and Jack Dacey.

Just two games survived in the Under 12 League Section Two and Rhos Aelwyd notched up their fourth success of the campaign to defeat FC Brickfield 5-3. Man of the match Connor Jones struck twice with Danny Harrison, Jack Jones and Ian Hughes making up their nap hand.

Borras Park Albion proved too strong for Llangollen who they accounted for 7-1. Danny Jones converted a hat-trick with Adam Mills(2), Lloyd Bagnall and Sean Carter completing the romp with Dan Weir hitting back.

In the Under 13 League Section One, Rhosddu United were slammed 7-1 by Llay United whose Ryan Fisher was in riveting form netting four times, Luke Bagnall, Rob Humphreys and James Jay completed the spree with Ryan Slawson reducing the arrears.

Spare a thought for poor young Lewis Jones who scored five goals away from home for Chirk Youth at Llangollen but he still finished on the losing side. Richard Jones completed his sides tally as they lost 7-6. Maximum points went Chirk’s way with man of the match Nick Pearce notching four of his sides goal and Owen Mazerella bagging a hat-trick.

Cefn United suffered a 5-3 defeat at home to Park Youth who have leapfrogged above them in the table. Kyle Roberts, Deekon Jones and Darren Szabo had their contribution wiped out when Park went nap through Jason Murphy, Jack Hughes, Mark Edwards, Liam Fisher and Tom Williams.

In Section Two, leaders Ruthin Town went down 4-2 at Borras Park Albion who scored through Dale Edwards(2), an inswinging Corey Smart corner and Matt Kaldowski but two rare handling errors allowed Ruthin back in the game at 2-2 with Iolo Hughes capitalising in these mistakes.

Rhos Aelwyd consolidated joint top spot with an emphatic 4-0 victory. Man of the match Neil Valentine created goals for Dafydd Robertson and Ian Francis and then capped a fine days play by adding completing the scoring.

At Under 14 League level in Section One, the 7-1 score-line flattered FC Borras as they peppered Brymbo Lodge who hit back through Aaron Williams. Rob Hoosan was the Borras saviour scoring a hat-trick with Ryan Davies(2), Efan Morgan and Liam Humphreys accounting for the remainder.

In the afternoon programme, in the Under 15 League, leaders Chirk were beaten 5-4 in an enthralling game at Rhostyllen. Three times they surrendered the lead but full credit to Rhostyllen for producing a thrilling fight-back to go nap through John McGrath(2), Keiran Ansloos, Nkonde Liandish and a last gasp winner from Drew Wickens who scored with a close range header deep into stoppage time. Josh Roberts and Keiran Williams with a hat-trick ran Chirk pretty close.
