Match of the day in the Under 12 League in Section One was between title hopefuls Mold Juniors and overnight leaders Marchwiel who were protecting an unbeaten start.  It was Mold however that took maximum points from this epic and their jewel in the crown was Lee Jones who weighed in with a hat-trick.  Jake Jones cemented the win with Rob Ward bagging the visitors two goal response.
 
Marford and Gresford Albion were out muscled 2-1 by Acrefair Youth FC who were on target through Tommy May with ‘hot-shot’ Jack Bunkell hitting back.
 
The Queens Park versus Brickfield Rangers game was a feisty affair but well marshalled by Rhys Ryder.  Rangers took maximum points with strikes from Jordon Jenkins, Rhys Hughes(pen) and goal machine Kamil Bancer.  Reducing the deficit was Tyrone Hopson.
 
Park Youth shared six goals and the points with Johnstown in a real thrilling match. John Paul Willis(2) and an own goal accounted for the hosts goals with Josh Millington hitting back with a double salvo which included a good solo strike and a close range affair and adding their third was Matt Smith.
 
Rhosddu United were just pipped 3-2 at home by FC Borras Rangers. Callum Perry and Dylan Hughes netted the hosts goals with Rangers coming out on top after Jamie Culinshaw twice saved a penalty and Steve Thomas, Nick Koumas and Jamie Pritchard grabbed the goals.
 
Turning to Section Two,  league leaders Ruthin Town were held to a surprise 2-2 draw by Coepoeth who led 2-1 with minutes left through Rhys Edwards and Elliott John.
 
Maelor Youth showed good glimpses of an improvement but even so they were just shaded 5-3 by Bala but replying were Chris Platt, Eddie Robinson and Eddie Evans. Dale Davies(2), John Evans, Dave Yates and Tom Roberts made up their nap hand.
 
FC Brickfield never for one moment threw in the towel despite a 9-1 drubbing by Chirk Youth.  On the scoresheet were Connor Morris, Tyler Jones, James Collins, Curtis Jarett, George French, Joe Rogers, Jack Kynaston, Will Humphreys and Jack Parry.
 
Danny Harrison, Stef Parry and Ian Hughes hit back for Rhos Aelwyd who were sunk 6-3 by Garden Village in their own back yard.  Making up their six pack were Luke Davies(2), Harry Gould, sub Ben Williams(2) and sub Steve Beilby.
 
Marchwiel Colts struggled to cope with an extremely strong visiting army from Llangollen who coasted to a 13-3 victory.  Getting on the Llan scoresheet were Chris Poole, Chris Thomas, Danny Weir(2), Jack Maybury with a treble, Alan Jones and Zach Jones to name but a few.  Hitting back were Ithan Newland, an OG and Liam Franks.
 
In the local derby Borras Park Rangers trounced Borras Park Albion 5-0 with strikes from Zach Degale(2) and a Tom Duckett hat-trick.
 
The days top action was in the opening round of the Under 14 NEWFA Challenge Cup and the majority of games went with form. Cup warriors Ruthin Town signalled their intentions with a 5-0 verdict at Brickfield Rangers. Tomos Jones bagged a brace of goals with Joe Culshaw, Jac Williams an Lewis Isaac making up their nap hand.
 
Out go Broncoed Tigers, they flopped 5-2 on home soil against Chirk Youth who booked their passage with a double salvo from Matt Goddard and a Matt Cooke hat-trick, Tigers replied through Jake Dawson and Ben Vale.
 
Brymbo Lodge were squashed 4-1 by Nercwys Phoenix. Liam Edge did manage a lone consolation goal.
 
Buckley Town progressed but needed extra time to separate them from Marchwiel Youth who hit back through Ian Ellrick, Sam Thorley, Ollie Warbuton and Miles Murphy.
 
Hawarden Rangers fought off the tough opposition of Queens Park with James Clarke netting a goal in each half.
 
Johnstown Youth trounced Maelor Youth 5-1. Saul Dobie was the jewel in their crown converting a hat-trick, Jack Griffiths and Sam Roberts completed their nap hand.  Mark Mottershead reduced the arrears.
 
Marford & Gresford Albion needed extra time and penalties to claim the scalp of Coedpoeth United. It had finished all square but the hosts kept their nerve in the sudden death shoot out to just edge matters 4-3.  For the record book, Ben Rogers and Ravi Champenaria notched the winners goals with Ashley Jones and Gareth Owen replying.
 
Mold Juniors had a narrow 4-3 passage against Park Youth, Tom Matthews, Jamie King, James Moore and Lee Powell were on target for Mold with Andy Oliver(2) and Jake Hopley hitting back.
 
In the Under 15 League, leaders Chirk slammed overnight leaders Marchwiel grand style; 6-1 in fact.  Josh Langford is hitting a rich vein of form best exampled by his three goal contribution. Keiran Williams, Lewis Penrose and keeper Alex Jones from the penalty spot. Jack Griffiths replied.
 
Bala Juniors walloped Coedpoeth United 9-2 who reduced the deficit through Dan Povah and Andy Jackson.
 
Borras Park Albion were held to a windswept 1-1 draw by Rhostyllen Youth who took the lead through John McGrath but Albion cancelled it through a Nathan Williams reply.
 
Rhos Aelwyd were overpower 3-0 by Marford and Gresford Albion whose marksmen were Danny McDonald, Grant Hughes and Ben Stritch.
 
Garden Village lost by the odd goal in seven against Park Youth who will be delighted with their 4-3 success.  On target were Deiniol Williams, Alex Mills, Callum Parlour and Aled Evans. Gareth Rogers, Joe Jarvis and Lewis Robertson hit back.
 
Josh Hardy got all four of the Llay United goals as they fought out a thrilling 4-4 draw with Ruabon Villa 2000.
 
Ruthin Town revered their fixture to Rhosddu Unid and they still managed a 6-1 win.  Leading the goal glut with two goals apiece were Ian Williams, Alex Gill and Ben Jones.
 
Turning to the Under 16 League,  Section One        leaders Queens Park had their clash at Acrefair Youth called off.
 
Ewloe Harriers lost 4-1 against Borras Park Albion who were on target through Jonathan Williams, Ben Hinde and Nathan Griffiths(2). The Harriers replied through Gary Dixon.
 
Plas Madoc made an impression against Park Youth and scored through Liam Nicholson but goals from Jay Ellis and Kay Morris earned Park the points.
 
Ruthin Town ended Marford and Gresford Albion’s unbeaten start with a 2-0 success carved out by Garmon Rhys and Dewi Jones.
 
In Section Two, Chirk Youth really are growing in stature best emphasised by their 6-1 romp against Bala. Matt Cooke paved the way with  hat-trick, Nick Jones(2) and Matthew Fleet completed the spree with Troy Edwards hitting back.
 
Gary Dugmore fired a hat-trick as Brymbo beat Garden Village 5-3. Chad Jarvis(2) made the points safe with Chris Davis, an og and Ian Hughes the Village responders.
 
FC Borras Park shared six goals and the points with Johnstown Youth. Nick Davies(2) and Jason Weaver were on target for the hosts and ensuring a point went the Johnstown way were James Rogers and Aaron Thomas.
 
Brickfield Rangers flopped 8-1 at home to Llay United who prospered with help from Jamie Heath(2), Tom Kent, Tom Campbell, Lewis Emmit and Dan Evison.
