WREXHAM AND DISTRICT YOUTH LEAGUE

Saturday 4th November 2006 
 
The days top action was in the NEWFA Challenge Cup which was at its Round One stage. Coming across the league boundary were Buckley Town and they powered their way past Coedpoeth United 15-0. Leading the goal glut with a four goal return was Tom Clarke. Completing  the whitewash were Steve Sears(2), Ben Hanmer(2), Danny Moore(2), Charlie McCormack, Natahn Bellis, Mike Patterson and an own goal.
 
Ewloe Harriers chalked up a 3-1 success against Mold Juniors with goals from Danny Sullivan(2) and Anthony Daley.
 
Out go Johnstown Youth, they were well beaten 5-0 by Acrefair Youth who went nap through Josh Foulkes(2), Josh Rusell, Adam Lovett and man of the match Gareth Williams.
 
Queens Park scalped Llay United Youth 5-2.  Daniel Owen Jones, Ryan Davies, Levi Roberts, Nathan Buckley and Ben Edwards.
 
Marford and Gresford booked a Round 2 passage with an enthralling 5-4 victory over Clwb Peldroed Ieuenctid y Bala. Harry Jones was the hero of the hour notching a hat-trick with Owen Williams making it 4-4 after Albion had been trailing 4-2.  Enter centre stage Danny Gray and he fired a last gasp winner.
 
Mike Rowlands(2), Nathan Evans and Josh Roberts ensured the name of Rhos Aelwyd is in the hat for the next round draw as Aelwyd defeated Plas Madoc 4-3.
 
League leaders in the Under 12 League Section One Marchwiel United were held to a 3-3 draw by Brickfield Rangers who netted a last minute leveler through Ryan Hughes.  Dominic White and Rob Ward(2) to have had United on their way to maximum points but Brickie turned party poopers with Dan Sherriff and Kamil Bancer also clawing goals back.
                
Acrefair were hit for six by Johnstown Youth, Dean Williams smashed four of those goals with Josh Williams completing the romp.  Gary Williams fired the hosts two goal reply.
 
FC Borras Rangers just shaded things 4-2 against Brymbo Lodge, on target were James Pritchard(2), Jason Slater and Steve Thomas with Lewis Wynne and Ryan Gould responding.
 
Queens Park narrowly defeated Marford and Gresford Albion with a Tyrone Hopson double who hit back through Danny Johnson.
 
William Poole notched a treble as Park Youth squashed Rhosddu United 5-0.  Making up their nap hand were Joel Darlington and John Paul Lewis.
 
In Section Two, the Bala versus Garden Village clash got called off due to a player shortage in the Village camp.
 
Borras Park Albion had an odd goal in nine victory over Coedpoeth United who replied with efforts from Elliott Johnson, Alex Hughes, Ethan Huxley and Rhys Edwards.  Albion’s heroes though were Danny Jones who scored a hat-trick, Josh Edwards and Lucas Williams
 
Llangollen were leading 3-0 with goals from Danny Weir(2) and Alan O Jones but had to hang on for grim death when Jack Kynnaston and Curtis Jarrett replied with two late goals for Chirk Youth.
 
FC Brickfield were worthy 7-2 winners over Maelor Youth. Aaron Diamond made the major contribution firing a treble with Ryan Evans, Bradley Evans and Tim Jones completing the debacle.  Mike Roberts and Eddie Robinson reduced the deficit.
 
Ruthin Town walloped Marchwiel Colts by a huge margin and on the scoresheet were Nicami Jones with six goals, Tirion Roberts with five plus Ifan Hafal, Keiran Jones, Hari Owen, Stephen Willsdon, Robyn Cartwright, Iwan Davies and Osian Davies.
 
If it had not been for goal-keeping skills of Nathan Williams who was outstanding for Rhos Aelwyd as they were crushed 13-1 by Borras Park Rangers. Zach Furber(2), Matt Thomas(2), Zach Degale, Jordon Williams, George Ford, James Roberts, an own goal, Tom Duckett, Theo Pumford, Curtis Neary and Lewis Harrington
                
Turning to the Under 13 League, in Section One, league leaders Penycae go marching on and they clinched a 2-0 victory at Maelor Youth with efforts from Callum Edge and Ben Barlow.
 
Chirk Youth were just out-shaded 6-5 in their own back yard by Llay United whose marksmen were Robbie Humphreys(3), Adam Burgess, Ryan Fisher and Luke Bagnall.  The hosts came close to salvaging a point with strikes from Owen Mazerella who converted a hat-trick and Nick Pearce(2)
 
Lewis Jones notched four for Llangollen Youth as they defeated Cefn United 5-1, making up their nap hand against Cefn United was Ryan Hughes.
 
Park Youth were really at their best as they slammed Garden Village 9-4.  Jason Murphy is hitting a rich vein of form and once more he bagged a treble.  Adding to their tally was Tom Williams(2), Jack Hughes and Liam Fisher.  Replying for the visitors was Tom Seward, Sam Parry, Danny Davies and Joe Harper.
                
In Section Two, Ruthin Town and Rhos Aelwyd continue to dominate the pace, Ruthin beat Brymbo Lodge 4-0 with efforts from Phil Roberts, Josh Davies, Nathan Jones and an OG.
                
Brickfield Rangers hit back through Matt Smith as they were beaten 4-1 by Marford and Gresford Albion, grabbing the winners goals were ace predator Joe Broderick with a treble and Alan Williams.
 
Borras Park Albion chalked up a 9-1 verdict against Corwen Youth and on the score-sheet were Josh Underwood(2), Leighton Griffiths(2), Corey Smart, Dale Edwards and Todd Dobie.
 
Rhos Aelwyd again showed why they are a class act to watch when they beat Marchwiel United 6-1. Iolo Francis and Taylor Jasper both weighed in with two gaols apiece and the second of Jasper’s goal was an exquisite 35 yard lob.  Completing the spree were Josh Griffiths and Daf Roberteson with a header from a corner.
 
Ruthin Town share the leadership with Rhos after beating Brymbo Lodge 4-0, on target were Phil Roberts, Josh Davies, Nathan Jones and an OG.
 
Bala beat Coedpoeth United 3-1 who hit back through classy Kady Seabrook.
                
In the Under 14 League, Section One, FC Borras head the pack by a six point margin following their 10-0 whotewash of Garden Village. Banging in the goals were Nick Schliesing with a hat-trick, Lucas Godfrey(2), Ryan Davies(2), James O’Brien, William Hancock and Liam Humphreys.
 
Bala clinched a 4-0 verdict over Brymbo Lodge.
 
Penycae Youth were forced to share six goals and the points in a 3-3 draw at Johnstown with strikes from Sam Williams(2) and Kris Jones.
 
Marchwiel United hit the net through Tom Lea, Miles Murphy and Andy Hughes but it was Chirk Youth who took maximum points after going nap through ‘top gun’ Matt Goddard who converted a hat-trick, Billy Nash and Nathan Cooke.
 
In Section Two, Borras Park Albion still rule the roost after a comfortable win against Rhosddu.  Leading their goal glut was Sean Price and Tom Meyers with two goals apiece, Joe Edwards, livewire Michael Hencher, Luke Taylor and Tom Wells.
 
Broncoed’s downward spiral continued with a 7-2 reversal at Maelor who have two of the leagues in form strikers at the moment Lewis Williams and Tom Cusworth.  Both have passed the 20 goals tally already ad this week, Lewis converted a hat-trick and Cusworth bagged four, replying for the Tigers were Ben Willbraham and Paul Roberts.
 
Queens Park had the narrowest of wins to beat Llangollen 6-5 in a real high scoring game. Ryan Forward yet again was their jewel in the crown bagging four of those goals with Sam Jones and Josh Roberts making the points safe.
 
Llay United hit back through George McCormack as they went down 4-1 against Park Youth whose marksmen were Ryan Brimfield(2), Andy Oliver and Jack Hopley.
 
Coedpoeth United shared eight goals and the points with Brickfield Rangers whose jewel in the crown yet again was Liam Sklenar who notched a further hat-trick, Lewis Jones added a fourth with the hosts salvaging a point with efforts from Ellis Phillips, Adam Jones(2) and Adam Skellon.
 
Turning to the Under 15 League, Marchwiel United’s unbelievable progress was halted and they were held to a goal-less draw at Rhostyllen Youth.
                
Ruabon Villa 2000 were on target through Jack Williams, Brian Williams and Aaron Blackwell as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Bala Juniors.
 
Chirk Youth clinched a hard earned 2-1 victory over Borras Park Albion and their match winner was Keiran Williams with a brace of goals.
 
Marford and Gresford Albion defeated Llay United 7-2 and one of the days top scorers was Grant Hughes with five goals. Making up their tally were Lee Parry(2) and David Lloyd with a long range thunderbolt.  Alan Hume(2) reduced the deficit.
 
Park Youth chalked up a 7-1 win against Rhosddu United with goals from Aaron Davies(2), Deiniol Williams, Alex Mills, Tom Goburn and Callum Parlour with Ryan Elmes hitting back.
 
Garden Village suffred a player shortage and called of their trip to Ruthin Town.
