WREXHAM AND DISTRICT YOUTH LEAGUE

Saturday Saturday 17th February 2007

Summary by Phil Jones

The days top action should have been in the Under 12 North East Wales Challenge Cup but only one game got the green light and it involved Borras Park Rangers going safely through as they walloped Park Youth 9-1. Their marksmen were Matt Thomas with a four goal haul, Lewis Harrington, Zac Forber, Zac Degale, Curtis Neary and Tom Duckett.

In the Under 12 League Section One game, FC Borras Rangers held Acrefair Youth to a 2-2 draw, Kan Thomas and Jamie Pritchard were the hosts marksmen with Tom May and Josh Evans squaring the match.

Brymbo Lodge shared the goals and the points in a tight 3-3 draw with Brickfield Rangers who might argue dropped points has cost them dearly. Keeping them in with a shout were Dan Sherriff. Kamil Bancer and Alex Powell. The Lodge marksmen were Matt Worral, Matt Turner and Jack Mountford.

Mold Juniors have opened up a five point lead at the top after flooring Marford and Gresford Albion 6-3. Callum Howarth weighed in with a four goal salvo but it was Curtis Jarrett who was voted man of the match. Completing their tally were Lee Jones and Adam Roberts with James Griffiths(2) and Jack Bunkell responding for Albion.

In the Under 12 League Section Two league, Borras Park Albion have gone into equal second spot after strikes from Hayden Wilson and Leighton Evans gave them a narrow 2-1 win over Bala Juniors.
