- Each club or team is responsible for
the conduct of its club officers and committee members whether they
are officially in charge of a team or not on any particular day, i.e.
a committee member attending a game is deemed to be in a management
position and therefore subject to referee control in accordance with
the law s of the game. The names of all committee members must be
available at every game together with the players' registration forms.

- Each club or team is responsible for
the conduct of its players' relatives and must control all such
relatives accordingly, i.e. if a relative is causing any kind of
disruption or hassle on the touch line the club will be responsible
for controlling that behaviour - if necessary by attempting to remove
the offender from the vicinity of the field of play. If this is not
done, the club or team will be subject to disciplinary action. Each
club or team is responsible for the behaviour of its players,
officials, committee members, spectators, relatives, before during and
after the game.

- Officials, committee members,
spectators and relatives are not permitted to shout at players other
than encouragement and praise. No intimidating remarks are to be made
whatsoever. All officials, committee members, spectators and relatives
must stand back from the playing area at least 2 yards/metres.
|
- Referees are not responsible for
controlling spectators except as provided in the laws of the
game.

Referees should escort players from
the field of play and should not leave the venue until the match
report form has been signed by him when his responsibility ends, any incidents must be reported by the referee to N.E.W.F.A. and the league
in writing and must include the name/s and number/s of any player/s or
official/s or spectator/s who are involved.

- Any breach of this code will result
in disciplinary action being taken against the club concerned. this
action may include:

Imposition
of a fine.
-
Withdraw
club / team fixtures.
-
Ordering
of games to be played away from home with all costs of such games
being at their own expense.
-
Instruct
club to exclude player(s), officers, committee members,
parents or spectators from all club activities.
-
Failing
to take
appropriate action will result in further disciplinary charges.
-
Expulsion
of the club or team from the league.
-
Any
combination of the above.

- The
officers (i.e. chairman, secretary and treasurer) of each club is to
sign a copy of this code of conduct together with the team managers
and all club committee members. Clubs will not be permitted to play
any fixtures until the signed copy has been received by the leagues
general administrator.

- Play
by the rules and never argue with the match officials.
|
- Control your temper. Verbal
abuse of officials or other players, deliberately distracting or
provoking an opponent is not acceptable or
permitted.
|

Work
equally hard for yourself and for your team, your team’s performance
will benefit and so will you.
|
- Be
a good sport, applaud all good play whether it be by your team, or by
your opponents.
|
- Treat all players as you would like to be
treated youreself, do not interfere with, bully, or take unfair
advantage of another player.
|
- Co-operate
with your manager / coach, team-mates and opponents – without them
there would be no football match.

- Focus
upon the child’s efforts and performance rather then the overall result
of the game, this assists children in setting some realistic goals related to their ability by reducing the emphasis on
winning.

- Teach
children that an honest effort is as important as victory, so that the
result of the game is accepted without undue disappointment.
|
- Encourage
children to always participate according to the rules.
|
- Never
ridicule or shout at a child for making a mistake or losing a game.
|
- Remember
that children want to play the game for their own enjoyment, not yours.
|
- Remember
that children learn best from example, applaud all play.
|
- If
you disagree with a match official’s decision, raise the issue though
the appropriate channels rather than you question the match official’s
judgement and honesty in public. Remember that most officials give their
time and effort for your child’s enjoyment for free.

- Support
all efforts to remove physical and verbal abuse from the game of football.

- Be
reasonable in your demands on children’s time, energy and enthusiasm.

shout at or abuse match officials.
|
- Shouting
from the sidelines should always be discouraged apart from general
encouragement.

- Teach
players that the Laws of the Game are mutual agreements that should never
be broken.

- Develop
respect for the ability of opponents as well as the judgement of the
officials and opposing coaches.
|
- Set
good standards of behaviour yourself and always offer praise and
encouragement and try to have as much one to one communication with your
players as possible.

- Children
play organized football for fun, they are not playing for the
entertainment of spectators only, nor are they miniature professionals.
|
- Applaud
good performances and the efforts of each team, congratulate all players
on their performances, regardless of the match result.
|
- Never
ridicule or shout at a child for making a mistake during the game as only
positive comments motivate.
|
- Condemn
the use of violence in any form, be it by spectators, coaches, officials
or players.
|
- Show
your respect for your team’s opponents – without them there would be
no game.
|
- Demonstrate
appropriate social behaviour by not using foul language, harassing
players, coaches or officials.
