WREXHAM AND DISTRICT YOUTH LEAGUE

Summary by Phil Jones 
                
Acrefair Youth and Brymbo Lodge are setting a blistering pace in the Under 12 league Section one, and The Lodge slammed Cefn United 6-0.  Making up their avalanche of goals were Keiran Jones(2), Tom Holmes, Matt Jones and Ryan Johns(2).
 
In equal top spot are Acrefair who roared to a 7-3 success over Marford and Gresford.  Aled Bartley, Joe Francis and Jordan Powell with a four goal haul made up their tally with Gary Hughes(2) and Ioan Parry responding.
 
Brickfield Rangers shared four goals and the points with Whitegate Wanderers, Gary Rae bagged both goals for the hosts and Jordan Davies netted Whitegates two goal response.
 
Chirk Youth had their unblemished start destroyed by Llangollen Youth, in whirlwind second half, Llan ran riot and were on target through Will Plumes, Liam Marshall, a fine header from defender Dan Edwards and Ryan Walker but their best performer was Jordan Evans who was architect behind the win.
 
FC Garden Village were over powered 15-1 by Marchwiel United who had several players on the scoresheet but Nick Hughes was top marksman with a seven goal return. Simon Lewis(2), Alistair Beck, Richard Bevis, Tim Wert and Dylan Williams added to their tally.
 
In Section Two, Garden Village again proved they will be a force to be reckoned with, they powered on the gas to send hosts Maelor crashing 18-0. Macauley Hart weighed in with a five goal salvo, Sam Molyneux notched four goals with Joe Gardner, Ryan Merrill, Brandon Humphreys(2), David Price(2) and Jared Taylor(2) completing the whitewash.
                
Borras Park Rangers had a comfortable 9-0 win over  Ruthin Town. Lewis Edwards was top gun with four goals and competing the debacle was Nathan Gregory, Danny Jared, Ryan Kershaw and Declan Weekes.
 
Borras Park Albion outshaded gallant Rhosddu 5-3, Borras dominated the opening half and taking a 5-1 lead with goals from Tyrone Clutton, Jacob Jones hat-trick hero Josh Jones. Rhosddu failed to keel and reduced the margin through Tom Povey(2) and Tom Poole.
 
Johnstown Youth shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Rhos Aelwyd who led twice with strikes from Carwyn Davies and Geraint Andrews but man of the match was Iauan Davies who has been nominated for team of the week.  Netting for the hosts was Jake Simms and Ryan Hanmer.
 
At Under 13 League level in Section One, the three top sides won with ease, doing best of all were FC Borras Park Rangers and making up their nap hand in their 5-1 romp at Chirk were Jack Dickens(2), Steve Thomas, Jamie Pritchard and Jack Griffiths with Ben Wilson hitting back.             
 
Rhosddu United rose to the occasion and almost caused quire a stit before keeling over 5-4 against Rhos Aelwyd. Ian Hughes(2), Connor Jones, Sam Daldam and Dan Harriosn comleted their nap hand.  Hitting back for the hosts were Russ Jones, Dnny Jones, Zc Butker and Jake Williams.
 
Brymbo Lodge were whitewashed 8-0 Mold Juniors whose marksmen were Mike Ellwell, Adam Roberts and Lee Jones who all bagged two goals apiece plus Adam Offless and Luke Vandikkooj.
 
Coedpoeth United defeated Llangollen Youth by the odd goal in nine, Adam Durber, Matt Rushforth, Rhys Edwards and Elliott John made up the hosts nap hand with Llangollen hitting back through Ryan Curphey(2), Joe Morris and Clive Thomas.
 
Johnstown shared six goal and the points with Brickfield Rangers. Ace predator Dean Williams(2) and Matt Smith ensured Johnstown took a point from this encounter for the homeside but ‘Brickie were worth their point after Kamil Bancer, Luke Bowen and Dan Sheriff had got their share of the goals.
                
Turning to Section Two, Borras Park Rangers were amongst the goals again with a 17-0 haul at FC Brickfield.  Zac Degale won the days ‘golden boot’ adding another eight goals to his seasons tally. Making further significant contributions were George Ford, Zach Forber who weighed in with a four goal salvo, George Ford(2), Matt Thomas(2) and Lewis Harrington.
Park Youth took an early lead through John Paul Lewis but back came their opponents Acrefair Youth  to take the points through an Aled Parry penalty, Josh Evans and Tom May.
 
Josh Williams and Layton Evans grabbed the Borras Park Albion goals in the 2-1 defeat of Bala Juniors.
 
Garden Village fought out a high tempo goal-less encounter with Ruthin Town and it proved to be a highly entertaining game with Village’s James Duckett earning man of the match.
 
Marford and Gresford Albion were turned over on home soil, 5-1 in fact by a big and strong Marchwiel United.  Dominic White, Kyle Ellrick, Dylan Gillanders, Rob Ward and Eddie Evans made up their nap hand with Matthew McCarthy hitting back.
 
In the Under 14 League Section One, Ruthin Town signalled once more why they are strongly tipped to do well, they had a first class 12-0 result against Brymbo Lodge.  Kristian Pierce led the goal binge with a hat-trick with Matt Richards, Iolo Hughes(2), Josh Davies, Dave Hurst, Nathan Jones, Lee Ogley, Lee Mazaruk, Sean Martin, Daniel Lloyd and Phil Roberts.
 
Borras Park Albion were in fine form to chalk up a 13-1success at Maelor Youth.  Leading the goal binge was Dave Edwards with a six goal salvo, Josh Underwood, Corey Smart, Tyler Rogers and Matt Kaldowski completed the haul.  Replying for Maelor was Ryan Walters.
 
Penycae Youth  lost 2-1 at home to Bala and their marksman was Callum Edge.
 
Marchwiel United were held to a 1-1 draw with Corwen Youth who nicked a point through a Tomos Williams effort.
 
In Section Two, Jason Murphy is in fine form this term and his fine contribution was rewarded with a hat-trick. Jamie Adamson and Tom Griffiths completed the 5-0 romp.
                
Brickfield Rangers had a narrow 1-0 win over Llangollen Youth and one of the leagues brightest prospects Rob Salathie slammed six goals for Rhos Aelwyd as the beat Marford and Gresford Albion 8-1.  Completing their spree with a brace of goals was Josh Griffiths.
 
In the afternoon programme, Ruthin Town have gone clear at the top of the Under 16 League after flooring Llay United 15-0. Alex Gill showed his class and bagged a six goal contribution, Gwidion Ifan and In Williams notched two goals apiece with Ben Jones, Jack Higgins, Adam Egan and Dyfan Jones piling on the agony for hosts Llay United.
 
Borras Park Albion took maximum points from their encounter with Rhos Aelwyd thanks to strikes from Danny Jones(2) and Nathan Williams.
 
Coedpoeth United shared the honours in a 2-2 draw with Park Youth.  Man of the match Danny Williams fired a double salvo for the hosts with Callum Parlour and Sion Davies hitting back.
 
Phil Tinsley’s strike could not prevent Marchwiel United from going down 2-1 at home to Chirk Youth.
 
In the newly formed girls league, Marford and Gresford Albion stormed to a 7-0 victory over new side Garden Village who made a fine impression considering it was their first ever game together. On target for Albion were Emily Sutcliffe(2), Morgan Forbes, Aimee Hudson, Katie Sharp, Helena Griffiths and Rebecca Redmond.
 
Also amongst the goals were Mold JFC girls at Under 13 level as they beat Park Youth 5-0.  Making up their nap hand were Elly Jarrett and Laurie Jakeman with two goals apiece and Chelsea Williams.
