Summary by Phil Jones
 
The key action at the weekend was in the North East Wales Cup and there were goals galore in the tie between Whitegate and Borras Park Rangers. Rangers oozed class to win with ease 14-1 with Declan Weekes notching four goals, Jack Davies a treble and Ryan Kershaw, Nathan Gregory, Danny Jarrett(2), Lewis Edwards and Luke White completing the rout. Jordan Davies fired the Whitegate consolation goal
 
Coedpoeth United failed to contain Buckley Town who booked a Round 2 passage after Nick Harris had replied for the hosts.
 
Hawarden Rangers defeated Penyffordd by the odd goal in seven, on target were Jack Travers(2), Danny Jones and Rhys Peers with Lee Emberton, Rhys Cooper and Ben Daley replyung.
 
Maelor Youth were second best against a rampant Rhosddu United who progressed into round 2 with goals fom Alex Richie-Jones, Adam Shane, Connor Pugh and a treble from man of the match Tom Povey.
 
Marchwiel Youth almost upset the progress of one of the competitions top teams Garden Village who just shaded this epic 4-3 with strikes from Callum Dutton, Jack Peers, Jared Tindle and Macauley Hart.  Playing their part in this epic were Alistair Belk, Nick Hughes and Fin Wort.
 
Rhos Aelwyd slipped up 4-2 against Brickfield who prospered with the help of Jordon Williams, James Roberts and Gary Ray(2).  Will McKnight notched Aelwyd’s two goal response.
 
Chirk Youth demolished Cefn United 8-1. 
 
The Under 13 League offered some real high tempo games and in match of the day in Section One, Lee Jones and Adam Roberts just allowed Mold Juniors to shade their game with Rhosddu United 2-1. Zach Butler reduced the deficit with a text book free-kick from the centre circle.
 
FC Borras Park Rangers are going to take some stopping, they whitewashed Brymbo Lodge 6-0. Dan Massey, Jack Griffiths, Keegan Jakovlevs(2) and James Pritchard completed the spree.
 
Llangollen broke their duck with a riveting 6-3 success against Chirk Youth and their marksmen were Joe Morris(2), Jack Price(2), Ryan Curphey and Alan Jones.  Hitting back for the hosts were Ryan Kynaston, Callum Shepherd and Ben Wilson.
 
Brickfield Rangers went goal crazy to send Marchwiel Colts crashing 12-0. Ryan Hughes was top gun with a treble and making up their goals tally were Kamil Bancer, Dean Dodd, Scott Watkins, Alex Powell, John Alexander, Jordon Jenkins, man of the mach Luke Bowen with a double salvo.
 
Rhos Aelwyd suffered their first set back of the campaign when they went down 5-3 on home soil in their local derby against Johnstown Youth. Ian Hughes(2) and Jack Jones got the hosts response as Johnstown went nap through Deano Williams, Matt Jones(2), Matt Smith and Josh Millington.
 
In Section Two, leaders Ruthin Town fell to a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of visiting Park Youth who have John Paul Lewis and Cian Jones to thank for their success. Ifan Hafal h it back.
 
A single strike from David Jameson enabled Marchwiel United to topple Borras Park Albion 1-0.
 
The strongly fancied Borras Park Rangers slammed four goals past Marford and Gresford Albion to maintain their 100% start. Zac Degale, George Ford, James Roberts and Lewis Harrington proved a real handful for the Albion defence.
 
Acrefair Youth were the top scorers in this section and they defeated FC Brickfield 16-2. Josh Evans weighed in with a six goal salvo, Les Morris bagged a four goal return, Aled Parry a hat-trick with Josh Hodgkinson and Jared Southwell completed their goal-rush with Bradley Evans and Luke Roberts replying.
 
At Under 14 League level in Section One, the top two sides came together rhead to head and it saw Rhosddu United just out muscled 3-0 by Ruthin Town who were on target through Kristian Pierce, Josh Davies and Matt Richards.
 
Garden Village played some nice controlled football and passed the bal well and were deserved 3-1 winners against Penycae Youth. Ace predator Jake McDermott(2) and Lewis Davies were their marksmen  with Callum Edge who didn’t deserve to be on the losing side pegging a goal back.
 
Corwen Youth thrashed Bala Juniors 5-1.
 
Borras Park Albion shared four goals and the points with Marchwiel United. Dale Edwards and Corey Smart got the Albion goals but pluck United thoroughly deserved the point they gained when Owen Mazzarella and Ben Duffy hit back.
 
It was a superb Brymbo Lodge performance and it was rewarded with a 5-0v victory over Maelor Youth.  Making up their nap hand were Ashley Salisbury, George Phoenix, Tom Potts, Ryan Wigley and Jordon Jones and they also had the games best player in Sean Navin.
 
In Section Two, league leaders Park Youth were given quite a scare at bottom club Llangollen and you can be sure on this form, Llan wil not be on the bottom for long as a plucky display saw them just pipped 6-5 in the end. Ryan Hughes bagged a four goal return and James Denton had them in command at 5-3 t one stage but Park revival was masterminded by Craig Hurling, Mike Wrench, Ruan Price and a Jason Murphy treble.
 
Chirk Youth were beaten 4-1 by Marford and Gresford Albion who in fine shape to achieve maximum points.  Danny Griffiths and a Joe Broderick hat-trick saw Albion through this game with Ben Edwards hitting back.
 
The Brickfield Rangers against Llay United game was postponed.
                
In the Under 15 League in Section One, pace setting Coedpoeth came down to earth with a bump, James Rogers netted their consolation goal as visiting Llangollen went nap to win this one 5-1 with efforts from Stefan Edwards(2), Kristian Jones, new kid on the block Wes Parry and sub Ryan Anderson.
                
Marchwiel United slumped to a 6-0 defeat at home to Brickfield Rangers whose marksmen were Lewis Jones, Liam Sklenar(2), Rhys Williams and Vaughan Williams.
 
Bala held Ruthin Town to a 1-1 draw and responding for the visitors was Jordan Oldbury.
 
There was a massive crowd watching previously unbeaten Venture scrap out a tooth and nail 2-2 draw with Maelor Youth. The hosts had led with goals from Ryan Jones and Ryan Forward  FC        2 
                        
In Section Two, top dogs Borras Park Albion remain the only unbeaten side and they crushed Johnstown 9-0.Steve Jones and Tom Wells netted a hat-trick apiece with Tom Challoner(2) and Mal Mbaku completing the rout.
                        
Garden Village were 6-1 winners over Rhosddu United who lone response was fashioned by Ryan Jones.  Village have gone third after Callum White(2), Sean Price(2), Mason Matthews and Tom Winsper completed their spree.
 
Llay United were embroiled in a ten goal thriller against Park Youth who won this encounter 7-3. Aled Mathews, Dylan Jones and Jack Lewis fired the hosts goals with Ryan Brimfield being the main destroyer grabbing five goals for the winners. Jake Hopley completed the romp.
 
Broncoed Tigers failed to contain in form Chirk Youth, Ben Vale(2) provided The Tigers with some hope but Chirk went nap through Josh Cooke on his debut, Nathan Cooke, Justin Webb, Dave Shepherd and Tom Jones.
                        
In the Under 16 league, it is Ruthin Town who continue to write the headlines, Ben Taylor, Ben Jones and Gwydion Ifan saw them topple Marchwiel United 3-1 who hit back through Ryan Williams but things might have turned out differently had Phil Tinsley not had his penalty saved when the game was evenly poised at 2-1.
        
Josh Roberts fired all three of the Chirk Youth goals as they defeated Borras Park Albion 3-2 with Dean Matthews and Nathan Williams hitting back with two identical long range efforts.
 
Two goals in each half for the talented Mark Burrows enabled Rhostyllen to beat high flying Park Youth 6-1 away from home. Josh McGrath(2) added to their tally with Park’s reply coming from Sion Davies.
 
Craig Spencer was a hat-trick hero as Rhos Aelwyd cruised to a 5-0 victory over Coedpoeth United. Duane Jones and Mike Rowlands made the points safe.
 
Marford and Gresford Albion have now gone into second spot after flooring Garden Village 5-1. Daniel McDonald(2), Grant Hughes, Rob Morris and Dan Lloyd put the points out of reach for the visitors who replied through Albion old boy Connor Speed.
