WREXHAM AND DISTRICT YOUTH LEAGUE

Summary by Phil Jones
 
The days top action was in the NEWFA Challenge Cup and the place to be was Court Road where Brickfield Rangers came back off the canvass to book an eventual passage into the next round.  They defeated Penyffordd 6-5 after extra time who came out of the traps with vigour as they raced into a 2-0 lead. OK Brickie needed extra time to resolve matters with strikes from Matt Smith, Ryan Kynnaston and man of the match Tom Williams who notched four goals.  Making up the Penyffordd nap hand were Scott Bainbridge and Phil Evans with two goals apiece and Elliott Bond who fired his 25th goal of the campaign.
 
Out go Borras Park Albion, they were out-witted 4-1 by Ruthin Town whose marksmen were Iolo Hughes, Phil Roberts, Dave Finney and Dan Lloyd.  Dale Edwards reduced the deficit.
 
Chirk Youth went goal crazy to send Llangollen Youth crashing to a 10-0 defeat.  Ace predator Naz Farhat bagged a five goal return and making up the rout were Ben Edwards(2), Lews Jones(2) and Cai Roberts.
 
Goals from Rob Cochrane and Tom Hallom who converted a hat-trick as Rhosddu progressed 4-1 at Coedpoeth United who replied through Ross Gilmour.
 
Hawarden Rangers are also through, they whitewashed Corwen 5-0. Tom Bonney weighed in with a treble and completing their nap hand were Matt Virgo and Ryan Cunliffe.
 
Marchwiel Youth were ousted 4-1 by Llay United whose marksmen were Ryan Fisher and Luke Bagnall who fired two goals apiece.
 
Mold Youth were in rampant mood accounting for Park Youth 6-0. Liam Roberts and Ryan Williams grabbed two goals apiece with Dewi Ashton and Ollie Marshall making the tie safe.
 
The Under 12  League Section One leaders Acrefair Youth continue to march on an on and they strengthened their grip at the top after flooring Whitegate Wanderers 9-3.  Deiniol Parfitt was a jewel in their crown netting a hat-trick with Connor Rogers, Dan Roberts, Adam Hughes(2), Jordan Powell and Joe Franics also on target.  Hitting back for Whitegate were Jay Davies and Jordan Davies(2).
 
Brickfield Rangers proved too hot to handle for Cefn United whose goalkeeper Jack Lancaster saved a rout. Brickie’s marksmen were Billy Roach(2) and Gary Ray who weighed in with a four goal salvo as they hit Cefn for six, 6-1 in fact.
 
Brymbo Lodge stay in the title hunt with a comfortable 3-1 passage over Llangollen, their scorers were Levi Clemson(2) and Ryan John.  Will Pluves replied.
 
Chirk Youth battled back through Jamil Bashir(2) and Rhodri Davenport in a 6-3 defeat but still couldn’t catch Marchwiel United who edged this game with efforts from Nick Hughes whose fine performance was rewarded with a four goal haul, Adam Davies with a perfectly struck free-kick and Alistair Belk.
 
FC Garden Village staged a fine comeback but still could not catch Marford and Gresford Albion who stole a march and never looked back.  The games best player Ryan Foulkes, Mark Shaw(2), Owain Norris, Lewis Price and Aaron Lloyd go the winners goals with Perry Shoemarker converting a treble and Rhys Baska-Jones reducing the arrears.
 
In Section Two, league leaders Borras Park Rangers whitewashed Llay United 11-0. Their goal avalanche was carved out by Scott Jones(2), Nathan Gregory(2), Aaron Rafferty, Lewis Edwards(2), Nathan Walley, Jack Davies.
 
Coedpoeth United who had no answer to rampant Garden Village who built on their 14-1 win over Maelor last week with a perfect 5-1 away victory. Making up their nap hand were Sam Molyneux(2), Macaluey Hart and Callum Dutton with Keiran Taylor replying.
 
Maelor Youth secured a consolation goal through Rhys Williams despite being peppered 7-1 by Rhos Aelwyd who were on target through Will McKight with a hat-trick, Gerain Andrews, Dewi Griffiths(2) and Josh Mathews.
 
Johnstown had a fine 8-0 victory over Rhosddu United and have to thank for their contribution Taylor Clayton who was in awesome form and grabbed himself a five goal salvo. Making the points safe were Jake Simms, Lewis Bickerton Cole and Rhys Gears-Pope.
 
Borras Park Albion were snuffed out 3-0 by Ruthin Town whose marksman was Jamie Jones with a treble.
At Under 13 level in League Section One, Mold Juniors emphasised what great credentials they possess, they whitewashed Chirk Youth 7-0 away from home. Adam Offless, Adam Roberts with a treble, Lee Jones(2) and Mike Elwell completed the romp.
 
Brymbo Lodge shared six goals and the points with Rhos Aelwyd. Matt Turner fired all three of the hosts goals with Scott Reeves(2) and Ian Hughes replying.
 
Coedpoeth United were hit for six, 6-1 in fact by FC Borras Park Rangers whose marksmen were Jack Griffiths(2), Jamie Pritchard(2) Jack Dickens, Zac Butler and Keegan Jackolevs.
 
Marchwiel Colts were overpowered 9-3 by Llangollen whose success was long overdue. Completing their fine tally were Joe Morris with a hat-trick, stylish Eylish Brew, Danny Weir, Zac Jones, Ryan Curphy and Dan Hill with Ethan Newland, Ed Robinson and Mike Roberts hit back.
 
David Bowen capped a fine debut for Rhosddu but they were floored 6-1 by Brickfield Rangers who notched two goals through man of the match Jodan Jenkins, a double from Ryan Hughes, Kamil Bancer and an OG.
 
In Section Two, league leaders Ruthin Town consolidated poll position with a 5-0 romp against Acrefair, Tirion Roberts(2), Ollie Hughes, Stephen Willsdon and Harri Owen showed what a class outfit Ruthin are.
 
Bala failed to contain a superior Park Youth who won this game 8-3. On target were Chris Walsh, Hayden Jones, Tyrone Hopson(2),Andy Barritt(2) and Kian Jones.
 
Borras Park Albion were snuffed out 7-2 by Garden Village who were back to their best and netted through Ashkey Parry who opened and closed the scoring, Luke Jones, Tom Duckett, Adam Denoven, Greg Derosa and Ashley Parry. Lloyd Bagnall and Josh Williams hit back.
 
Zac Bryan, Greg Moffat and James Roberts combined for Borras Park Rangers to beat Marchwiel United 3-0.
 
It was only going to be a matter of time before Marford and Gresford Albion were going to break their duck and that is exactly what happened at FC Brickfield who they beat overpowered 5-0. Making up their tally were Gio Edwards, Luke Jones, Keiran O’Heath and James Griffiths(2).
Under 15 league leaders in section one Venture had their game at Maelor washed out so joining them at the top are Llangollen who had a double figure win over Coedpoeth.  Chalking up the goals were Ryan Anderson, Max Claridge, Rhys Wedley, Tim Pluves, Sam Evans(2) and Wes Harry with a four goal salvo.
                        
Brickfield Rangers had a hard earned 9-1 romp over Marchwiel United, ace predator Liam Sklenar fired dour goals and adding to their tally were Lewis Jones with a treble, Josh Jones and Mike Butterfield.
 
Ruthin Town were held to a 1-1 draw by Bala and their solitary marksmen was Jordon Oldbury.
                        
In Section Two, Borras Park Albion are just one win away from landing the title after securing a 9-0 success over Llay United.  Amongst their scorers were Jack Challoner, Steve Jones, Josh Phillips, Mal Mbako, Mike Hencher and Jack Cowell.
 
Broncoed Tigers revival continued with a 5-1 success over Garden Village and leading their charge were Ben Vale(2), Mark Purdie and Jack Blundell(2).
 
Johnstown lost 4-2 at home against Park Youth.  On target for the hosts were Sam Roberts and Tom Hallett.
 
In the Under 16  League, Ruthin Town continue to be top dogs and with them being without a game Park Youth have gone to within six points of them after their clinical defeat of Coedpoeth.  Liam Nicholson and Luke Roberts scored a hat-trick apiece with Rhys Roberts and Dan Thomas completing the goal glut.
 
There must be much praise for Marchwiel United who raised their game to beat high flying Chirk Youth in their own back yard and their 6-1 win was the best performance of the day.  Ryan Williams weighed in with a treble, Ben Thomas, Phil Tinsley and Peter Atkin completed the goal binge.
 
Marford and Gresford Albion were floored 5-0 by Rhostyllen who are best placed of all now to challenge Ruthin for top spot as they still remain unbeaten,  The goals were shared between Ashley Hind, Jake Kelsall John McGrath(2) and Keiran Ansloos.
